Can You Vote Early in Iowa? Trump Backs Ashley Hinson and Six Others

posted on November 2, 2026

Can you still vote early in Iowa? The President says yes. His Truth Social post of November 1, 2026 says in-person early voting runs “all the way through November 2nd.” Confirm the deadline and hours with your county auditor or the Iowa Secretary of State.

The President also endorsed seven Iowa Republicans in that post. Ashley Hinson leads the list for U.S. Senate. He wants Iowans to turn out and vote for them.

Who the President endorsed in Iowa

The President’s post, published from his own account at 15:49 UTC on November 1, 2026, opens with “TO THE GREAT PEOPLE OF IOWA, GET OUT AND VOTE FOR.” He calls the candidates “These Great Patriots” and says they have his “Complete and Total Endorsement — They will never let you down!” The table lists them exactly as the post does.

Race Candidate named in the post
U.S. Senate Ashley Hinson
Governor Zach Lahn
Attorney General Brenna Bird
U.S. Congress (IA-01) Mariannette Miller-Meeks
U.S. Congress (IA-02) Joe Mitchell
U.S. Congress (IA-03) Zach Nunn
U.S. Congress (IA-04) Chris McGowan

You can read the full endorsement in the President’s Truth Social endorsement post.

When Iowa early voting runs

A second post from the same account, also published on November 1, says: “Early Voting, in-person, is UNDERWAY NOW in the Great State of Iowa.” It adds: “In Iowa, you can cast your early Vote, in-person, all the way through November 2nd.” The post says voters can vote “early, absentee, by mail, or in-person,” and it points to a voter-location finder at swampthevoteusa.com.

The President’s post says in-person early voting runs through November 2nd. Confirm the deadline and hours with your county auditor or the Iowa Secretary of State. You can read the wording yourself in the President’s early-voting post.

What the endorsement means for you

An endorsement is the President’s public support for these candidates, and it is his to give. It does not create a law, set a rule or change how ballots are counted. The votes cast decide the races. Your vote counts.

Same-day Kansas posts

The President posted a near-identical list for Kansas between 15:23 and 15:46 UTC on November 1. It endorses Roger Marshall for U.S. Senate, Ty Masterson for Governor and three U.S. House candidates, and repeats the in-person early-voting message through November 2nd. Before you vote in Iowa

  • Open the President’s post and check the candidate names against your ballot.
  • Use the voter-location finder named in the post to find your polling place.
  • Ask your county election office for the in-person early-voting hours before you go.
