Trump Endorses 29 Florida Candidates Including Ashley Moody: Voting Timeline

posted on October 31, 2026

President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social on October 30, 2026, telling Florida voters to “GET OUT AND VOTE” for 29 named candidates, starting with Ashley Moody for U.S. Senate. Early voting in Florida runs through today, October 31, and Election Day is November 3, 2026. The post is an endorsement and a call to vote. It does not change any law, and the results are still to come.

What the President’s post says

The President’s post is his statement. In it, he wrote that the named candidates “have my Complete and Total Endorsement — They will never let you down!” You can read the full text in his October 30 Truth Social post. A second post the same day tells Florida voters that “GO VOTE at the Polls RIGHT NOW” and that voting early, by mail or in person all count. It is at his second Florida post.

Office Named in the post
U.S. Senate Ashley Moody
Governor Byron Donalds
Attorney General James Uthmeier
Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson
U.S. House (24 candidates) Jimmy Patronis (FL-01), Austin Rogers (FL-02), Kat Cammack (FL-03), Aaron Bean (FL-04), John Rutherford (FL-05), Randy Fine (FL-06), Ryan Elijah (FL-07), Mike Haridopolos (FL-08), Dan Green (FL-09), Joe Strada (FL-11), Gus Bilirakis (FL-12), Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13), Mike Beltran (FL-14), Laurel Lee (FL-15), Sydney Gruters (FL-16), Greg Steube (FL-17), Scott Franklin (FL-18), Jim Schwartzel (FL-19), Brian Mast (FL-21), Casey Askar (FL-22), Scott Singer (FL-25), Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-26), Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27), Carlos Gimenez (FL-28)
State House Meg Weinberger (FL-HD-94)

Who is Ashley Moody?

Ashley B. Moody is the incumbent. Ballotpedia lists her as a Republican who was appointed to the Senate by Gov. Ron DeSantis in January 2025 to replace Marco Rubio, after Rubio was confirmed as U.S. Secretary of State. Before that, she served as Florida Attorney General from 2019 to 2025 and as a judge on the 13th Judicial Circuit Court from 2007 to 2017, according to Ballotpedia’s Ashley B. Moody profile.

A Senate hearing record from July 24, 2025, published by the Senate hearing record for July 24, 2025, lists “ASHLEY MOODY, Florida” on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee roster. Her campaign website, as quoted by Ballotpedia, says she “continues her mission to uphold conservative values, strengthen national security, and fight for Floridians.” Earlier coverage of the endorsement is in trump goes all-in for ashley moody.

Who is she running against?

Angie Nixon is the Democratic nominee. Ballotpedia reports that Nixon defeated Alex Vindman in the August 18, 2026 Democratic primary, 55.9% to 44.1%. Moody won the Republican primary the same day with 79.6% of the vote. Neil Gillespie, with No Party Affiliation, is also on the November ballot.

Nixon’s own survey answer, as Ballotpedia prints it, says: “People are struggling to put food on their table and keep a roof over their head.” That is her message on costs, and it is the other side of the race.

When is the vote, and what deadlines have passed?

Ballotpedia’s Florida Senate special election page lists these dates for the November 3 election.

Step Date Status today
Voter registration deadline Oct. 5, 2026 Passed
Mail ballot request deadline Oct. 22, 2026 Passed
Early voting Oct. 24 to Oct. 31, 2026 Ends today
Mail ballot return (must be received) Nov. 3, 2026 Upcoming
Election Day (polls open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., ET/CT) Nov. 3, 2026 Upcoming

If you plan to vote in person, today is the last day of early voting. Check your county elections office for hours before you go.

How competitive is the race, and who is spending on it?

Ballotpedia says that as of October 2026, major election forecasters rated the general election Solid Republican or Likely Republican. It also reports the money raised as of the October quarterly fundraising deadline.

Candidate Raised, as of the October quarterly deadline
Ashley B. Moody (R) $13.3 million
Angie Nixon (D) $8.18 million

As of October 25, 2026, outside satellite groups had spent a combined $19.9 million supporting and opposing Moody and Nixon, according to Ballotpedia.

What does this mean for working families?

The offices in the post cover Florida’s U.S. Senate seat, governor, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, 24 U.S. House seats and a state House seat. Those races decide who represents you in state and federal government, so the outcome touches the same families the candidates are talking about.

Moody’s campaign says she is “dedicated to America First policies that promote law and order, economic prosperity, and American sovereignty,” as quoted by Ballotpedia. Nixon’s campaign says people are struggling with the cost of food and housing. Both are the candidates’ words. Read each side’s record before you decide.

What is still pending?

The November 3 vote has not happened yet. Ballotpedia says the winner will serve the rest of the term that Rubio was elected to in 2022, which expires in January 2029. The President’s endorsement is his statement about who he backs. The results will come from the vote itself.

Before you vote: a short checklist

  • Check your registration with your county elections office. The Oct. 5 deadline has passed.
  • If you vote by mail, the ballot must be received by Nov. 3.
  • Early voting ends today, Oct. 31.
  • Find your polling place. The President’s post links a voting-location page, and Ballotpedia’s Florida page covers the state’s voting information.
