Trump Criticizes Fox Coverage of Ohio Rally in Truth Social Claims

posted on October 6, 2026

President Donald Trump criticized Fox News and Fox & Friends for what he said was a lack of coverage of his recent rallies, including one in Ohio. The October 4 Truth Social post was a statement about media coverage and Republican voter enthusiasm; it did not announce a new federal policy, order, or government action.

What Trump said about Fox News and the rallies

In the Truth Social post, Trump said Fox & Friends had not covered what he described as a packed and highly enthusiastic Ohio rally the previous night, along with events in Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma over the prior two days.

“Our people want to see our Rallies, and reports on our Rallies, on FoxNews,” Trump wrote. He argued that the rallies reflected the strength of the Republican Party and warned that viewers could leave Fox if its coverage did not change.

What the post does—and does not—do

The post delivers a direct political and media message: Trump wants broader coverage of Republican rallies and says his supporters are dissatisfied with Fox’s programming choices. His statements about crowd size, ticket demand, ratings, and the network’s coverage are his claims in the post.

It does not create a law, direct a federal agency, change an election rule, or require action by Congress. For readers following the administration’s formal actions, US Patriot News has also covered the election integrity portal and Trump’s decision to name Will Scharf White House counsel.

Why the media fight matters to voters

Trump’s message puts a familiar America First concern front and center: whether major media outlets give Republican voters and their events the same attention they give the opposition. The post asks Fox News to cover the rallies more prominently and frames that coverage as important to the viewers who tune in for conservative news and political debate.

The bottom line

Trump used Truth Social to fault Fox News for its rally coverage and to press the network to show more of what he described as strong Republican turnout. The immediate development is the President’s public criticism of the network; any programming response from Fox would be a separate matter.
