Remembering Biden’s Border Disaster: The Carnage Kamala Called ‘The Job’

posted on July 2, 2026

Never let them forget it. That’s the message President Donald Trump sent this week with a pointed Truth Social post reminding every American exactly what life on the southern border looked like under the Biden-Harris administration — the most catastrophically failed border policy in modern American history. While legacy media spent four years trying to normalize the chaos, gaslight the public, and attack anyone who dared call it an invasion, the people who lived it — the ranchers, the Border Patrol agents, the Angel Families — they know the truth. And now, so does the rest of the country.

Trump’s post was short. It didn’t need to be long. “This was a typical day on the Border under the Sleepy Joe Biden Administration with ‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris!” Seven words into that sentence and every American who was paying attention felt it in their gut — because a “typical day” under Biden and Harris meant thousands of illegal crossings, overwhelmed agents, fentanyl pouring through gaps in an unfinished wall, and a federal government that responded to the crisis by looking the other way.

Article Assessment: Biden-Harris Border Policy

Topic: U.S. Southern Border Policy (2021-2025)
Key Claims: Record illegal border crossings, millions of “gotaways,” fentanyl trafficking surge, Border Patrol overwhelmed
Time Period Covered: Fiscal years 2021-2024 under Biden-Harris administration
Guarantee: Not disclosed
Marketing vs. Reality: Administration claimed border was “secure” while record crossings and fentanyl deaths occurred—stark contradiction between messaging and documented statistics.
Best For: Readers seeking critical perspective on Biden-Harris border management record.
Skip If: Seeking balanced coverage with counter-arguments or official administration defense; article presents one-sided political narrative without substantial opposing viewpoints.

The ‘Border Czar’ Who Never Went to the Border

Let’s revisit the history the mainstream media desperately wants you to forget. In March 2021, President Biden assigned Vice President Kamala Harris the role of addressing the “root causes” of the border crisis. She was, in every practical sense, the administration’s point person on the most pressing domestic security issue of the era. The press corps dubbed her the “Border Czar.”

What did she do with that responsibility? For months, she avoided the southern border entirely — even as record numbers of migrants were flooding across it. When she finally visited in June 2021, she went to El Paso, Texas — a relatively controlled port of entry, nowhere near the most overwhelmed sectors in the Rio Grande Valley. Border Patrol agents, sheriffs, and local officials in the hardest-hit areas were left to fend for themselves.

The numbers that piled up on her watch were staggering. Fiscal years 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 each set new records for illegal border encounters — numbers that dwarfed anything seen in prior administrations. Border Patrol agents were pulled from patrol duties to process paperwork for the endless wave of arrivals. Gotaways — migrants who crossed undetected — numbered in the millions over the course of the Biden term. Fentanyl, largely trafficked by Mexican cartels exploiting the chaos, became the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 and 45.

And through all of it, the official posture of the Biden White House was denial. The border was “secure,” they insisted, even as Americans watched viral footage of mass crossings, makeshift camps under Texas bridges, and Border Patrol agents on horseback being falsely smeared by the administration itself.

What Trump Walked Into — And What He Fixed

When President Trump returned to office in January 2025, he inherited a border that had been deliberately dismantled. From Day One, his administration moved aggressively to restore order:

  • Reinstating and expanding Remain in Mexico policies that force asylum seekers to wait outside the United States while their claims are processed.
  • Deploying military assets to the southern border and invoking emergency powers to secure wide stretches of the frontier.
  • Resuming border wall construction that Biden had halted on his very first day in office — leaving materials to rust in the desert at taxpayer expense.
  • Cracking down on catch-and-release policies that had allowed millions to simply walk into the country with a court date they would never keep.
  • Targeting cartel networks with new designations and law enforcement pressure that Biden’s DOJ had largely abandoned.

The results have been visible and measurable. Border crossings dropped sharply in the months following Trump’s return to power, as word spread through the migration networks that the era of easy entry was over. For the first time in years, Border Patrol agents reported that morale was improving — because they were finally being allowed to do their jobs.

That is the contrast Trump is drawing. Not abstractly. Not for political points alone. But because the American people deserve to understand the full scope of what was done to their country — and who did it.

Bottom Line

History matters. Accountability matters. And President Trump is right to keep holding the Biden-Harris record up to the light, because the forces that created that border catastrophe haven’t gone anywhere. The same open-borders ideology, the same activist networks, the same media apparatus that called the invasion “misinformation” — they’re still out there, waiting for their next opportunity.

A “typical day” under Biden and Harris was a national disgrace. American citizens paid for it with their safety, their communities, and in far too many cases, their lives. We owe it to every Angel Family, every Border Patrol agent, and every American community that bore the cost of that failure to never, ever forget what happened — and to make absolutely certain it never happens again.
