This matters right now, in 2026, because the integrity of American elections is not a partisan talking point — it is the foundation of our entire republic. And when that foundation is cracked, every American — Republican, Democrat, or independent — should want to know the truth.

The ‘Most Secure Election’ Claim Was Always Political, Not Factual

Let’s be clear about where that phrase came from. In the immediate aftermath of the 2020 election, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) — led at the time by Chris Krebs — issued a statement calling the election “the most secure in American history.” The legacy media ran with it wall-to-wall. The corporate press would have you believe there is zero evidence of any problems with the 2020 election. That has never been true. What is accurate is that the media has worked overtime to ignore, downplay, and bury every piece of evidence that doesn’t fit their preferred narrative.

Each of these data points, taken individually, might be waved away. Taken together, they paint a picture that is fundamentally incompatible with the claim that 2020 was some kind of gold standard for election administration.

Why This Still Matters in 2026

Some will ask: why is President Trump still talking about 2020? Here’s the answer: because the conditions that existed in 2020 have never been fully corrected.
